Report An
Issue.
Had a problem with a Guild member? Tell us privately. We investigate every report. Members who don't meet the Standard don't stay.
No Public Reviews.
On Purpose.
Public review platforms have a defamation problem. Anyone can post anything about anyone. Innocent contractors get bombed by competitors. Real bad actors get shielded by lawyers. The truth gets buried under the noise.
We won't host that. Instead we run a private dispute resolution process.
You report. We investigate. We mediate. Members who don't meet the Standard don't stay in the Guild. The outcome is documented, the contractor is held accountable, and your name stays out of public court records.
This is what the Better Business Bureau used to do before they became a paid review platform. We're bringing that model back for the DMV trades.
After You Submit.
- Within 24 hours: You get a confirmation email with your case number
- Within 48 hours: A Guild representative contacts you to clarify details
- Within 7 days: We contact the Guild member, share the report, and gather their response
- Within 14 days: Written outcome delivered to all parties
Possible outcomes include refund, redo at no charge, partial credit, formal warning, suspension, or removal. The outcome depends on what we find.
We document every case. Members with multiple cases against them face automatic panel review, regardless of individual outcomes.
Not For Crisis.
This form is not for emergencies. If you have a safety concern (gas leak, water main break, electrical hazard), call 911 or the relevant utility immediately.
If a contractor is on your property and refusing to leave, call your local police.
If you believe you've been the victim of a crime (theft, fraud, assault), file a police report first, then file with us.
